Lindenberg and Janes form Canyon Leasing – a company dedicated to training Leasing Brokers

Pennsauken, NJ, April 15, 2008 – Leasing industry veterans Al Lindenberg and Mona Janes are pleased to announce the formation of Canyon Leasing, a company dedicated to training individuals to become equipment leasing brokers.

Mr. Lindenberg, the former President of Advanta Business Services, has over 33 years in the leasing industry, including those with two other highly successful leasing companies. Mrs. Janes is the former Executive Vice President of Wildwood Leasing, a premier lease broker training company. Together Lindenberg and Janes bring almost 50 years of entrepreneurial leasing experience to Canyon Leasing. “We have been greeted with enthusiastic response from potential customers and channel partners. The company has already built a strong foundation and we expect to host the first training seminar in the near future” quotes Lindenberg. Janes added, “There is a very strong demand for a company that has the knowledge and experience to train individuals how to enter the leasing industry and build a strong platform for future growth.”
Canyon has partnered with Latitude Leasing to bring a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences to the training program. “Small, independent equipment dealers are clearly underserved. They are frustrated by the level of service they receive from larger leasing companies that are driven by volume, yield and credit without regard for the actual needs of their customers. We feel that this offers the small independent leasing company a significant opportunity and we are pleased to become part of the Canyon training program” quotes Bennie, Vice President of Latitude Leasing.

Business Opportunity Vs. Franchises

September 16, 2008 by aconway76

Canyon Leasing is a “Business Opportunity” as compared to a “Franchise”. There are just as many “Business Opportunities” existing today as there are franchises. Both have a start-up package, training and ongoing support. Canyon’s business opportunity charges smaller fee up front than most franchises. A franchise charges a monthly royalty and collects their annuity along the way. A business opportunity does not have the expenses of attorney’s fees and accounts receivable people to collect royalties. Attorneys and Collection people are often the major ongoing expenses to a franchisor. Most importantly, a business opportunity does not have any rules. A franchise has all kinds of rules and reporting requirements. The quality of ongoing support will vary widely. Canyon Leasing’s ongoing support is tremendous. Business opportunities are geared more for experienced business people who want to do things their own way but still have an organization to lean on for upgrading and support.
